Titan Poker Review
Titan Poker
Is a leading poker room in the iPoker network developed by PlayTech. The software is available in English, Spanish, German, French, and Italian. Although it is a somewhat newer site (launched in 2005), Titan Poker in conjunction with iPoker network has built a strong network with backing from the world's second largest casino software provider.
Software, Graphics & Other Features: As part of the iPoker network, Titan's interface and graphics are nearly identical to that of other iPoker sites such as Noble Poker and CD Poker which are sharp and easy to navigate. Updates in the software have made for smoother, faster play with most of the early glitches ironed out.
Some features of the software allow players to choose their avatar and adjust chat/sound at tables. You can also adjust game settings, including game speed and side games settings. There is also a buddy feature to mark your friends or favorite fish, along with player search and player's notes. Full screen play is an option, and for you multi-tablers, Titan allows simultaneous play at up to three tables.
Security: Titan Poker is verified by the Online Player's Association. The PlayTech software platform and systems have also been tested and approved by an international accounting firm, BDO, which periodically tests their systems to ensure ongoing accuracy in pay-outs. The casino average pay-out percentage is also reviewed on a monthly basis.
Ring/Cash Games: The games offered at Titanpoker are Hold'em; limit and no limit, Omaha , Omaha Hi/Lo. 7 stud, and 7 stud Hi/Lo. Every limit you can think of from 1cent/2cent up to $100/$200 is offered.
Game Variety: Titan Poker offers a variety of games for players' amusement. Ring-games feature Texas Hold‘em in no-limit, pot-limit, and limit; Omaha and Omaha H/L in limit and pot-limit. Depending on the game type, levels can be anywhere from $0.01/$0.02 up to $50/$100. And for the beginner, there are play money tables as well.

Depositing funds also earns you an entry into their weekly $1000 Depositor's Freeroll; an email invitation with password is sent to those that qualify. In addition to the sign-up bonus, Titan also offers a $75 Refer a Friend bonus and a VIP points system. The more you play, the more points you earn, along with added benefits and other VIP promotions.
titan poker tableClearing Bonuses: Bonuses must be cleared by earning “stars”. Players can earn $5 of their bonus for every 400 points earned. Players depositing with GBP or EUR will receive their bonuses according to the maximum USD amount, which is converted automatically into their own currencies. Bonuses are released into the player's account automatically as soon as requirements are met. Points are accumulated by playing ring-games or tournaments. Points or “stars” are earned as follows:
Ring-games: For each hand a player is dealt that results in a raked pot you earn $0.25/$0.50 1 star, $0.50/$1.00 2 stars, $1/$1.50 4 stars, $1.50/$2 6 stars and $2/$3 8 stars. A player need only participate in the hand (having been dealt cards). As long as the pot was raked, they obtain points whether they folded or not.
Tournaments: For each $1 paid in fees players are awarded 20 stars. Players have 90 days in which to clear their bonuses.
Sit and Go's (SNG): Titan offers a variety of SNG options. In addition to No-Limit Texas Hold‘em, players can also find Pot-Limit Hold'em, Omaha H/L (pot-limit and limit), Omaha (limit and pot limit). Buy-ins start at $1 and go up to $200.
Titan also offers a number of Jackpot SNGs with jackpot prize packages ranging from $15,000--$100,000 depending on the amount of buy-in ($2-$50). You can also find satellite SNGs for entry into WSOP and WPT events, and larger buy-in multi-table tournaments. There is also a large selection of Heads-Up SNGs with buy-ins ranging from $1-$200, as well as Student SNGs.
Whether you like a full 10-player table, a 6-player table, Turbo games, or heads-up, you won't have a problem finding a SNG on Titan to suit your preference.
Competition: There is a lot of loose/aggressive play at Titan. With the variety of freerolls and micro-limits, and great sign-up bonus, there is a bevy of new, inexperienced players. If you are patient, and play smart, you should have no trouble increasing your bankroll here.
Rake: Titan Poker has a standard 5% rake which is collected in increments up to $3. However, there are various tables with a lower max rake. There is a $1 max rake on limit tables up to $1/$2 and 4-5 player tables have a max rake of $2 which includes any hold'em table. Titan has a “no-flop, no-drop” policy which means there is no rake for hands that do not reach the flop.
Traffic: In February 2006 during peak times, Titan and iPoker network had approximately 1,100-1.300 ring game players and 2,200-2,500 tournament players online.
Tournaments & Promotions: Titan offers a number of no requirement freerolls daily, as well as many private freerolls and tournaments. The no requirement freerolls have a maximum of 500 players. If you want to participate in these games, you must be at the ready as soon as registration starts as these events fill-up almost instantaneously.
There is also a variety of guaranteed prize pool tournaments that run daily (re-buy and freeze-out), along with satellites and qualifiers for the higher buy-in guaranteed games and WSOP and WPT events. Titan Poker also offers a $500,000 Guaranteed Freeroll with a chance to win a $100 million jackpot.
Withdraw/Deposit: Titan Poker has an impressive amount of deposit options which are as follows: VISA/MasterCard, NETeller, InstaCash (by NETeller), Epassporte, FirePay, InstaDebit, Citadel Commerce, My Citadel, Click2Pay, OnDemandFunds, eWalletXpress, Moneybookers, UseMyBank, EcoCard, Paysafecard, Bank Draft (check), and Wire Transfer.
Withdrawal options are just as plentiful which include Bank Draft (check), NETeller, InstDebit, Bank Draft Express, Moneybookers, Click2Pay, Wire Transfer, Epassporte, OnDemandFunds, FirePay, EcoCard, and Central Coin. Process time of withdrawals varies by method used with the fastest being NETeller (clearing in 3-4 days), and the slowest being Bank Draft which can take anywhere from 9-23 days. Minimum deposit and withdrawal is $20. Financial online security is validated by VeriSign.
Support: The usual avenues are available: email, phone and fax (both U.S. and international numbers), but also the added benefit of an excellent 24/7 online support staff. Email support includes an automated confirmation email, with timely real response—in my experience usually within the half-hour. Support staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt.
Conclusion: Titan Poker is an exciting new poker site with a lot to offer in terms of attracing players. It has some large tournaments with massive jackpots and a larger than average deposit bonus. TitanPoker has an attractive layout, good graphics and fairly stable software, it also has a growing amount of players and is actively working hard to please through its decent support and constantly new promotions.
